KCL Issues Eviction Notice

After almost 10 months of ongoing genocide, 40,000 people dead, and 67 days of our encampment set up in the Strand Campus Quad to protest KCL’s complicity in this genocide, we have received a directive from University management requiring us to vacate the Strand Quad by 5 PM on July 19th, 2024.

This decision by management is a deeply disappointing move to silence our peaceful protests during an ongoing genocide. The university management claims that it can support protest, but it cannot support “an occupation” of its premises. This university is satisfied to focus their efforts on a 67-day occupation of the Strand Quad, rather than focusing on the 75-year-long occupation of Palestine, the displacement of millions of Palestinians, and the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children.
